1962 Midge / Barbie Swirl Ponytail Doll, Brunette, T.M.
Photos are main part of this listing's description.
She has markings on right cheek that reads: Midge T.M.
©1962
Barbie
® by Mattel, Inc.
Patented. She has the number
“6”
marked on her left cheek.
JAPAN
is written underneath her toe area cross ways on sole of her right foot (not written lengthwise from toe to heel).
Condition is “Used.” This doll could be sold as one doll, as-is, for parts, or fixer-upper.
She is a straight-leg doll. Rather clean to the touch and appeal but she will have dirt in areas.
EYEBROWS
:
Her eyebrows look great with no missing or rubbed off paint.
NOSE
:
She has perfectly formed nose. No nose missing, no nose tip missing.
LIPS
:
I cannot tell what her lip color is. If I had to make a guess, I would say her lips are the color of coral, but please, this is to be taken as a disclaimer on the lip color as I am not familiar with lip colors to this type doll. Her lip color is present, color is good, using double lens glasses with magnifying glass, you can see very slight super tiny areas of rubs to color.
EARS
:
No greening to her ears.
Left Ear
– She has a big earring hole located below ear. One pin prick on bottom lobe of ear. In center of this left ear she has what appears to be someone tried to insert pin/earring post and it went in sideways leaving a gauge to vinyl. In other words, post went skidding right under the vinyl and left track showing end results on not inputting post correctly.
Right Ear –
Five pin prick indentions, one on earlobe and four in front of her ear. All five indentions are just that indentions, they did not penetrate (leave a hole) in vinyl. She also has a big earring hole located below ear.
EYES
: I cannot say one bad thing about her eyes. No issues. Her eye paint is firmly their, present, no rubs, no missing paint.
HANDS / FINGERS:
She has perfectly formed hands with no issues. She has all 10 fingers with no issues. All 10 fingernails still have original fingernail paint.
FEET / TOES
:
Very nicely formed feet, no issues to feet. She has all 10 toes. All 10 toes have toenail paint, however, paint is present toward where toenail meets the toe. Toenail paint has rubbed off on the top edge of every toe.
HAIR:
She has shiny hair that is long, thick, soft, and clean. There are no cuts to her hair. Her hair is very unruly and needs to be restyled into the swirl ponytail.
NECK:
She has no neck splits, no chew bites or marks, no stains.
ARMS:
Both arms are stable, secured in torso socket, have no issues. No swinging motion to her arms. I do want to point out the lengths of the arms. The right arm is a tad longer than the left arm, however, this is not to be considered as an issue to this doll (this is a common occurrence when doll was made at the Mattel factory, they grab arms and legs and place on torsos. Many of these dolls will have one arm longer than the other and also, one leg longer than the other).
LEGS:
Both of her leg lengths are even.
BODY:
Her body, legs, and arms do not have chew bites, marks, indentions, or cuts.
She is not to be considered as like new or in pristine condition.
If I have overlooked anything, please know this was an honest mistake.
I do offer combined shipping, but only for the one day I list each week, Friday.
Prices for anything these days across the United States are climbing. USPS has raised their rates twice in only 6 months time this 2021 year. You probably are seeing a rise in ship cost from many sellers. Sadly, I now must join those other sellers and raise my ship cost too. I will do my best to keep ship cost as low as I possible can.
Your bid(s) may be canceled if you have zero (0) to 20 feedback. Of course, if you feedback number falls in the 0-20 feedback range and you really wish to bid or see you did placed a bid and saw your bid was canceled, please write me and maybe access will open allowing you to bid. I feel eBayers with 0-20 feedback need to have some buying experience established.
I am very sorry to say this, but I do not ship internationally (this includes Canada). I only ship to lower 48 states of the U.S.
I do so appreciate interest in my listings. However, if a person contacts me to end my listing with an offer for immediate purchase, their request will be nicely declined. To end a listing when other eBayer's have either placed a bid on that listing or have that listing in their Watch List, this is not fair to them and not how I treat my eBayers. Ending a listing early for an outright sale off eBay's platform goes against eBay policies.
