VINTAGE 1960s #4 BLONDE PONYTAIL BARBIE

Description

Stunning 1960s Vintage #4 Blonde Ponytail Barbie (Barbie TM body) has been cleaned & restored to the extent possible for a doll played with by children. Her make-up & nails have been retouched or repainted. Her eyes, eyebrows & eyeliner appear original. Her hair has been restyled/hard curled. Her hair is a bit thin on top but is not apparent & some stray stands of hair. Her body is solid rubber (not plastic as was standard beginning with the #5 Ponytail Barbie), her head is flocked & her rubber arms/legs move as intended & are not swingy. She may have a few superficial scuffs/scratches, light staining &/or superficial dents on her body as expected for a 60 year old doll. She is wearing safety pearl earrings which will not turn her ears green.

I am not the original owner so I do not know her history. Some of her bangs were missing so were replaced utilizing hair from another #4 Barbie. She has been treated for green ear & some discoloration remains. Flesh colored chalk has been added around her ears to minimize the discoloration. She has a few back dots on her torso & some dents on her arms & legs. Her zebra swimsuit & shoes are of unknown age & may have fraying, missing or worn out elastic, snags, tears, torn seams, torn material, missing button loops, missing buttons, stains, splits, discoloration or fading. Her shoes were split & were repaired but I am unsure if the repair will hold. She was no doubt originally purchased as a toy and played with by children. She is not for the collector looking to purchase a doll in mint condition.
I have been repairing & restoring Barbies & her friends for over 20 years & spend many hours on each Barbie. I do my best to describe all flaws & repairs, but may have missed something so please examine the pictures closely and ask questions. The pictures are a part of her description.
